English as a Second Language Program

The English as a Second Language Program offers classes to adult humanitarian entrants who need extensive development in the English language. A variety of materials, methods, activities and strategies are used to teach the skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening in English, with an emphasis on the practical needs of the clients.
English classes are organised into small groups in graded levels from beginners’ basic level to more advanced basic and elementary levels, through to intermediate and advanced conversation levels, according to the English language ability of the students.
Classes are conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday at 9.30 am and 11.30 am, and are of two hours duration.
